Medical leaders gathered at the first edition of the "Romanian Healthcare Conference & Expo" to accelerate the evolution of the Romanian health system.

Marketing Insiders Group launched the first conference in Romania dedicated to professionals in the health sector – with a focus on patient experience. The event took place on October 14, 2022, at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.

Expenditures in Romania for prevention in the health sector are almost half compared to the rest of Europe. And the local percentage of cardiovascular fatalities is approx. 60% compared to approx. 45% in Europe. Out of around 3.8 million Romanians insured with C.A.S., over 550,000 do not have a family doctor available in their locality, and over 1,600 localities cannot access telemedicine services due to lack of access to the Internet or to technology. The public Romanian health system faces many deficits related to education, technology and medical personnel. And only 4 out of 10 Romanians would be willing to buy private health insurance.

The global COVID-19 context has worsened the pre-existing shortages of the local health system. Among the less-known negative effects of the pandemic are: increases in children’s speech difficulties and autism, increases in addictions, eating disorders and depression, the spread of PTSD and “compassion fatigue” among medical professionals, etc.

Romania has a lot of work to do to protect the population through an effective and efficient medical infrastructure. With this objective and a philosophy of action, Conference ArenaMarketing Insiders Group member – launched the first conference dedicated to patient experience, the Romanian Healthcare Conference & Expo.
