The official Covid-19 vaccination situation in Romania in December 2021

On December 5, the national information platform on vaccination against COVID-19 published the vaccination situation in Romania, with distribution by locality, on the official Facebook page “RO Vaccinare”.
The localities with the highest vaccination percentages in December are:
- 62.91% – Dumbrăviţa commune, Timiş county;
- 61.21% – Salva commune, Bistriţa-Năsăud county;
- 58.84% – Cârcea commune, Dolj county;
- 58.5% – Valea Lupului commune, Iaşi county;
- 57.26% – Rimetea commune, Alba county;
- 56.71% – Giroc commune, Timiş county;
- 56.07% – Sfântu Gheorghe commune, Tulcea county;
- 55.65% – Izvoru Crişului commune, Cluj county;
- 55.08% – Chiajna commune, Ilfov county;
- 54.58% – Otopeni city, Ilfov county;
- 54% – Cluj-Napoca municipality, Cluj county.

From a general population level, the coverage of COVID-19 vaccines is 40.5%, 46.3% for the eligible population over 12 years of age, and 48.5% among the adult population.
The capital, Bucharest, registers a vaccination coverage of 48.16%, and the municipalities have the highest vaccination percentage: 42.33%. The urban-rural gap persists, 40.53% versus 25.05%.
